Help Max beat Anorexia
Donation protected
I am raising money to help support 11 year old Max and his family, Deena (Mum) & Claire (younger sister) on their journey to beat Anorexia Nervosa.
Max has been sick for the past 6 months but recently his condition has severely worsened and consequently he has spent the last few weeks in the Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Adelaide.
Along with having Autism, Max has been diagnosed with Anorexia Nervosa, a serious eating disorder. He is very unwell and his condition is life-threatening. He has a very long road ahead to recovery with the help from a team of doctors, psychiatrists, psychologists and dieticians. He is likely to spend many months in and out of hospital. Eventually, when he is allowed to go home, he will require frequent visits to Adelaide for treatment, ongoing for at least 12 months.
Deena (Mum), has already taken one month off from work and made numerous trips for doctor appointments to care for Max. Moreover, the family live six hours away from the hospital, in rural Roxby Downs, meaning even more financial pressure to get treatment. Consequently, all resources and finances have been exhausted and the financial stress is taking its toll.
The family are going through an extremely tough time, so to be able to alleviate some of the financial burden would be incredible. Any money raised will be used to cover medical expenses, travel, food and lost income related to Max’s care.
As you can imagine, the family is dedicated to spending their time and energy on getting Max well and looking after his younger sister Claire. Your support is sincerely appreciated.
Thank you to everyone who takes the time to read this. If you are unable to donate, please share! xx
I wish you all good health and happiness in 2020.
Love and Peace
