Help Max Finish Paying Their Final Semester

Thank you for taking the time to look at my GoFundMe.

My name is Max, and I am a 25-year-old artist finishing up a Bachelor of Art. My official graduation date is August 4, 2022, as I am taking my final classes this summer. I was accepted back to school in 2020 to pursue my dream of making art. At the time, I thought I had paying for school figured out and was prepared to take on the student loans. Unfortunately, due to the way my class schedule played out, I was left with one semester of school that I am unable to finish paying for.

The United States works with my school to determine how much assistance I need per semester. Because I did not meet half-time this semester, I was left with the full bill. These are my final classes, I have already been accepted for graduation, and I have been living on campus long enough that dropping out does not remove these bills. I picked up an additional class to be classified as half-time for the purposes of a private loan; however that still does not push me over the federal minimum. It did minimally decrease my bill as I was able to gain around $2,000 from a private loan.

I need to have this bill paid off before I graduate, or I will not be able to have official copies of my transcript. I will also not receive a copy of my degree.

My bill is $4, 586. I am aiming to raise $4, 800 to cover the fee taken by GoFundMe when the funds are dispersed. Once the money is in my account, I will go directly to the Business Office on campus and pay the bill. Any funds that are left over will go to the local food bank.

I have been attempting to sell art and find a job that will help me earn money to cover this, however I have been unable to do either. My art has not sold, partly due to inexperience in selling and partly due to the economic downturn in my area. I am not able to work enough to cover my bill. My classes require much work outside of them (one is strictly independent work), my area has few jobs to offer, and I have many medical appointments to attend as well as am facing an unknown condition that is disabling (per my most recent doctor visit, the muscles in my upper arms and thighs have deteriorated for an unknown reason). My mother has been paying for my medications and gas, however this has placed a financial burden on her as well.

I am not eligible for enough credit to cover the bill through a credit card or personal loan. I do not know where else to turn.
