Help Max help wildlife.

Max is 7yo and is on the Autism Spectrum. He also has ADHD and generalised Anxiety. To help with his confidence, social skills and to feed his love of the environment Max joined 1st Langwarrin Joey Scouts. He has been thriving here, and next year will move to cubs. Before he can move up he needs to complete a "Promise Challenge". Part of the Joey Scout Promise Challenge includes a community work portion. For Max's challenge he has a very ambitious dream. He wants to write and publish a childrens book about his life and experience as the son of a wildlife carer then sell it to raise money for Animalia Wildlife Shelter. His book is called "Max's Wild Life"
The amazing thing about this choice of project is that writing and focus is actually something that Max really struggles with and was the cause of some major meltdowns during remote learning in 2020 His mental health and self worth was at rock bottom, but thankfully had some amazing support from His school teachers and the joey scouts. During lockdown earlier in 2021 Max wrote a book about his visit to Lego Jurassic World exhibition, and lego Brickman read it out on his instagram account so now Max is feeling more confident and is excited about this project. Max usually struggles with his self worth and is very hard on himself so usually shuts down when it comes to anything that requires focus. So the fact that he is so excited about this is huge and we are fully supporting him.
Max has already written the majority of his story, and although we are his family so are completely biased, we think it is a pretty special story that children will love!
Max is fundraising to cover all of the costs associated with publishing/printing a book. So we are aiming to raise $3.5k to bring Max's project to reality. Anything above this amount will be given directly to Animalia Wildlife Shelter.
If you can spare anything to help reach his goal Max would be so grateful!
