Help Mayan team get to tournament
Donation protected
“Our culture and tradition are alive in Belize. Ours is a millenary civilization with over 4000 years of existence in Belize. Today in our very own Village of Yo Creek, Orange Walk reside the world poktapok champions, Ek' Balam!
This world tournament is held every two years. This year it will be held in Merida, Yucatan from the 1st to the 4th December with teams all over the Mundo Maya and Panama competing.
For Ek' Balam to go defend their world championship title we ask you to please help these young indigenous athletes with donations. The team is deligently raising funds for their travel expenses.
Ours is a labor of love and an activity designed to keep our Maya Yucatec culture alive.
