Help MAYKO Recover From Robbery

A Few Words from the Fundraising Team:
In the early morning on March 17th, an armed intruder broke into Michael Gould’s (aka MAYKO) production studio. After threatening Michael’s friend inside the studio with a knife, the psychotic raider ran off with Michael’s one irreplaceable item: his laptop.
Michael has dedicated over 17 years of his life to music, culminating his passion into a full-time career in the music industry. During this time he has worked relentlessly; honing his composition skills, performing in bands, and obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Music Composition. Furthermore, he began investing into physical and digital audio equipment. Over the past 6 months Michael built his own studio and was able to make the bare minimum needed to get by in today's world. This was all funded solely from his musical pursuits. This includes his own musical work, producing tracks for other artists, running online/in-person one-on-one lessons with students, and providing recording and mixing engineering services to clients.
Now, without his laptop, he has lost his own personal work, a portion of client work, and is unable to do any current/future work until he replaces his laptop and the software that was on it. Not only is he now at risk of losing his client base but he also could lose the studio he built if he is unable to pay rent.
It is incredibly sad to think that one robbery can wipe out years of hard work and dedication. Michael is truly one of the most talented and devoted musicians we know and it is heart wrenching to think about the thousands of hours of work on the computer that is irreplaceable. Losing his life's work that was on the computer is by far the biggest blow Michael has taken from the robbery. While we can't help with recovering his life's work, we can help Michael overcome the financial burden of losing his laptop and that is the purpose of this GoFundMe.
Many of us can imagine getting a prized or expensive possession stolen. It's easy to understand how frustrating and depressing that would be. For Michael, this laptop wasn’t just an expensive item. Imagine getting your most valuable assets taken. With the loss of his own tracks and clients tracks that is exactly what happened to Michael. Now imagine all of the tools that allow you to work are taken, so you have no way to work and are now unemployed. With the loss of his music production software and plug-ins that is exactly what Michael is experiencing.
Below you will see the cost breakdown of his music production software & the TONS of plug-ins he collected over the last seven years. This doesn’t even include the thousands of hours of work that is unrecoverable - hundreds of his own projects along with dozens of client projects.
Of course, music is Michael's passion, but it's way more than that - it's his career, his identity, & his life.
It's safe to say that Michael is one of, if not the most, driven person in all of our lives. It's completely heartbreaking to see what he's going through. Any support at all would be immensely appreciated.
