Help Me & Boys Escape An Unhealthy Marriage

Though we've been separated for three months, the boys' dad is still living under our roof in the guest room. He refuses to treat his Bipolar Disorder in any way, including family counseling, so living with him is unpredictable. Together, we have a 3 year old and a 22 month old. They need stability and deserve a consistent routine filled with love and happiness. I have found a family lawyer I trust, but the firm requires a full payment of $3,200 to initiate the divorce process. Once he is served the papers, the state of Texas requires a 60 day "cool off" period, just in case I change my mind about the marriage. He has now verbally, emotionally, and financially abused me and having survived abuse my whole life, I will not be attempting nor will I be open to any resolution aside from divorce. My lawyer is confident I will be granted as the custodial parent and I will be pushing for him to attend regular therapy in order to see the boys. This might make the process longer, and more costly, but it is important that my boys grow up in a safe and consistently loving home(s). 

I appreciate any and all contributions as I am not working. I have stayed at home with my boys since the oldest was born in August 2016. Since the separation, their dad has consistently kept very little money in the joint account, using his business account, which I don't have access to, as his main account. If you don't know the story, my life savings opened his business and I have nothing left. I'm told I'm entitled to receive that money back, but as of right now, I have saved $1700 of my personal money to put towards the legal fees. I feel guilty even starting this campaign because I know there are so many Big Things going on right now, but a very good friend reminded me that I AM important and my sons' emotional safety is not to be taken lightly.
