Help me and my family as I prepare for a life of freedom

My name is Leo Schofield. As you know, on April 30, 2024, I was finally released from prison, after serving more than 36 years for a crime I did not commit. I am beyond excited and grateful to all of you who have supported me and my family. And now, so many of you are asking how you can help with this next phase of my journey toward exoneration, and I am greatly humbled by that. I can "feel" your love . . . and I have felt it since entering the program from which was paroled. Thanks to your generous support along the way, I was able to see my family regularly, something I would not have been able to do without you. Now, as I am finally out, my family and friends have gifted me with many of the things I will need to make the transition back to society. It feels like one gigantic birthday for me and I am so grateful for all they do.

For the next year, I will be living at a halfway house, hours away from my wife, Crissie, my daughter, Ashley, and my three grandsons, Gabriel, Genesis, and Gideon. Here, I’m expected to get a job so that I can contribute to my expenses for room and board each month. I am mostly in need of a reliable pickup truck so that I can get back and forth to work, and travel down to Miami where I will continue working with the brothers I am leaving behind in prison. This is a high end item for me, one I can't manage on my own right now. But with your help, I promise to pay it forward to someone else who may one day be in need.
