My only one dream: Evacuate with family from Gaza urgently!

Hi everyone! Please read this as if I am a family member or a close friend to you, who is living under death!

It's Nada Almadhoun, from Gaza, Palestine. I am a final year medical student from Alazhar University. And, I am doing this fundraiser in order to evacuate from Gaza urgently!

By October 7th, my world had been shattered. Missiles rained down on my city, forcing me to flee my home with my family. We sought refuge in a school in Khanyounis converted into a homeless shelter, where we endured harsh conditions for 3 months. We lacked basic necessities – clean water, electricity, and even enough food.

Through this tough period of time, I suffered from chronic depression that never left me free. Thus, I started volunteering at various hospitals in my refugee camp. I have volunteered at Nasser medical complex, Emergency department for more than 2 months.

However, I stopped volunteering there. As we were trapped between military tanks in Khanyounis, and we were forced to go to Rafah without even holding our possesities! We lived in a tent, homeless in the street. Then I started volunteering at Aldaàwa medical point to serve people living in tents.

However, people in Rafah were informed to evacuate again, thus I returned back to khanyounis. And currently living in a tent based upon destruction.

Day by day, massecres against Gazans increase. Sounds of bombings and shells can never leave my mind. When I sleep, the nightmare follow me and echoes in my dreams.

This attack has been devastating and impacted all major aspects of my life. I miss my house. I lost family members who were close to me. I lost my best friend, Maryam, who was brutally killed in December.

I lost my university that was destroyed by the Israeli attacks. I lost my dream, as I was supposed to graduate this year to officially be a doctor. My colleagues and I were preparing for graduation but this was made impossible. My dream had come to a dead end, since my university has destroyed.

Recently, I was accepted at Marmara university in Istanbul, Turkey to complete my clinical rotations there and be able to graduate.

Moayad, 18 years old, my youngest brother. He had completed his high school with an excellent GPA, 95.4%. He was preparing to start his journey with Engineering college this year. However, the circumstances prevented him from starting his trip. Thus, he applied for many colleges outside the strip and successfully been accepted at Istanbul Technical university to study his college years there.

Why 21,500$?

- Egypt charges 5000$ for each member to cross the border.

- Also, accomodation will cost 5000$ for the whole year.

- Visa to Turkey costs nearly 250$ for each.

- Flight from Egypt to Turkey costs at least 500$ for each person.
