Help me attend the EUROCRIM 2023

I am a second year Doctoral Researcher in the Department of Security and Crime Science and a member of the Human Trafficking, Smuggling and Exploitation Research Group at University College London (UCL). My research, through a variety of complementary studies using quantitative and qualitative methods, analyses human trafficking and anti-trafficking activity.

I am overjoyed to be selected to present my first research study at the 23rd Annual Conference of the European Society of Criminology (Eurocrim 2023) from 6th September - 9th September, in Florence, Italy. The Conference of the European Society of Criminology is prestigious with important publications and presentations focused on vast criminological fields, including human trafficking. Attending the conference provides the platform to hear from experienced researchers and academics about developments in the respective fields in Europe and best practices and inspiration towards future work. This is especially important considering my research has a European focus. I am incredibly happy about my acceptance as it will be the first time attending a conference of this calibre and provide the opportunity to present statistical research on the patterning of human trafficking.

The only obstacle I am now facing is the financial aspect of the conference. Whilst the university will offer a partial contribution towards the costs, these will only be received upon returning from the conference. This will mean that even with the kind partial support from the university, I would still need to raise at least an additional £2,000.00 to cover the remaining costs. In total this would add up to at least £3,000.00. Your kind donation will contribute towards the conference registration, travel, accommodation, and subsistence in helping me to attend, present and make a positive impact on criminological research.
