Help me be independent from abusive parents
Donation protected
hi, my name is Achraf, i’m 21 years old and on my last year of doing a bachelor’s degree, i live in Casablanca, Morocco, i am trying to become self sustainable and not have to depend on my abusive narcissist parents anymore. I would cherish any help!! :)
I live with my parents, and ever since i can remember, they have been mentally and physically abusive, which resulted in blinding my right eye for the rest of my life. Recently it has reached a boiling point as their desire to control and overprotect is hindering my potential and interfering with my future. This makes them the biggest obstacle on the trajectory of my life. They have continuously denied me my master studies abroad after deluding me into thinking they’ll do it the year after, and they never do. This shows how this is nothing but a game in their eyes, more so, they had admitted themselves that they cannot deal with me leaving the house and having to lead my own life.
I have been called many names and been told to die, which portrays how draining and exhaustive dealing with narcissists can be. What makes it especially worse is that you’re dependent on them, which makes it that I have to beg and plead for the basic necessities, like money for food when i’m away, or for transport. Whenever i have to deal with them, to either ask for things i really need or just emotional and vulnerable talks, i can’t help but feel misheard, lost, alone and suicidal.
As i write this feeling gutted with guilt and self loathing, i still know that my only way out of this is to be independent and not have my life tied to what my parents deem good and have them deny me opportunities just because it doesn’t fit their narrative. I’m seeking a job but the moroccan job market is quite hard to access, and would like to start out with an amount that will help me in the meantime, and for being able to continue my studies that i fought for multiple times, without having to beg and nag for it, as well as being able to pay for necessities like transport and food.
Once again, any help is greatly appreciated, and even if you can’t donate, spreading the word helps tremendously too!! Thank you so much :)
