Help Me Build A Future And Help My Family

Mijn naam is Natalie, ik ben 19 jaar en ik ben Thais-Belgisch. Ik ben geboren in Thailand en ben in 2020 op 14-jarige leeftijd naar België verhuisd om te studeren. Toen ik afstudeerde in 2024, vloog ik terug naar Thailand om mijn vader te helpen in zijn zaak. Hierdoor heb ik een tussenjaar genomen en mijn studies onderbroken. Hoewel ik graag verder wil studeren aan de universiteit, kunnen we ons dit helaas niet veroorloven en daarom heb ik besloten om de crowdfunding te starten. Dit is niet alleen om mijn opleiding te kunnen betalen, maar ook om mijn vader te helpen met wat steun.

Het ging bergafwaarts met het bedrijf van mijn vader aan het begin van COVID19, en het was een moeilijke situatie voor ons allemaal op financieel gebied. Door deze crowdfunding te starten, wil ik graag iets terugdoen voor mijn vader, die er altijd alles aan heeft gedaan om ons gezin een zo goed mogelijk leven te geven. Hij weet niet dat ik deze crowdfunding ben begonnen, omdat hij nogal koppig is en weigert om hulp te vragen aan andere mensen. Ik heb gezien hoe hij dag en nacht onvermoeibaar doorwerkt om voor ons te zorgen en slapeloze nachten heeft door de stress van onze situatie. Door iets terug te kunnen doen voor hem, kan ik hem helpen een deel van het gewicht van zijn schouders te nemen en er weer bovenop te komen.

Mijn droom is om psychologie te studeren, maar zoals veel mensen weten is een universiteit niet goedkoop. Om deze droom na te jagen, zou ik opnieuw naar België moeten verhuizen. Helaas is een vlucht niet het enige probleem, collegegeld, studiemateriaal en slaapzalen zijn extreem duur, vooral in België en dit is iets wat we ons echt niet kunnen veroorloven. Eens ik terug in België ben, zou ik een studentenjob vinden om mijn familie en mezelf zoveel mogelijk verder te onderstuenen.

Kunnen studeren, afstuderen en een stabiel inkomen hebben om mijn familie volledig te kunnen helpen is het einddoel, maar ik kan dit niet bereiken zonder hulp. Hoewel ik niet verwacht dat het volledige bedrag wordt gedoneerd, alle kleine donaties helpen.

Hello everyone,

My name is Natalie, I’m 19 years old and I am Thai-Belgian. I am born in Thailand and moved to Belgium at 14 in 2020 to study. Once I graduated high school in 2024, I flew back to Thailand to help my father in his business. Due to this, I have taken a gap year and interrupted my studies. Though, I would like to continue studying in university/college, we unfortunately cannot afford this, thus I have decided to start the crowd funding. This is not only to be able to afford my education, but also to help my dad with some support.

Things went downhill at the start of COVID19 for my father’s business, and it has been a difficult situation for all of us financially. By starting this crowd funding, I would like to be able to give back to my father who has always done everything in his power to give our family the best lives possible. He is unaware that I have started this crowd funding, seeing as he is quite stubborn and refuses to ask for help from other people. I have seen him work day and night tirelessly to provide for us, as well as having sleepless nights due to the stress of our situation. By being able to give back to him, I could help take some of the weight off his shoulders and get him back on his feet.

My dream is to study psychology, but as many people know, university is no cheap thing. To pursue this dream, I would have to relocate once again back to Belgium. Unfortunately, a flight isn’t the only problem, tuition fees, study material and dorms are extremely costly, especially in Belgium and this is something that we really cannot afford today. Once I am back in Belgium, I would find a student job to further support my family and myself as much as possible.

To be able to study, graduate and have a stable income to be able to help my family fully is the end goal, but I cannot achieve this without help. While I don’t expect the full amount to be donated, every little bit helps.
