Help me buy cat rescue equipment
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
My name is Emma and I am a cat rescuer from South Australia working exclusively with unsocialised street cats. This year I have rescued 20 cats and have learnt a lot about what it is like to work with these very scared but very smart cats.
I am fundraising to buy myself some specialised rescue equipment that will make catching and caring for these cats much easier, faster and safer.
The first item I would like to buy is a cat Restrainer Cage. These cages are used for extremely scared cats when being taken to the vet. They allow vets to examine and administer vaccines without any risk to their safety. Most vets will not willingly see an unsocialised cat because they can cause severe injury to veterinary staff but with a Restrainer Cage the risk is 0%.
The second and item I would like to buy is a drop trap. A drop trap allows you to control what cat you catch, as well as catch multiple cats and kittens at once. The cats that I work with are extremely hesitant to enter a standard trap, and I have spent many nights supervising traps with no success. A drop trap is a large trap that is less intimidating and as such has a higher rate of success.
This equipment will be used in the rescue work that I do but it will also be loaned to other rescuers in need. Both items have the potential to change hundreds of lives.
Please donate to help me make meaningful changes to the lives of these cats.
