Help me clean up Kentucky

Hi my name is Whitney Lewis and I have always been a lover of nature! I started picking up trash I find out in nature years ago by reusing my grocery bags to do so. Since March 23, 2023 I had big goals of picking up 500 bags in the state of Kentucky! By April 22… Earth Day and my Birthday I blew that number out of the water… picked up 757 bags of trash out of our beautiful state in less than a month! I see that it is starting to inspire others to do the same and I have a dream of Kentucky being the cleanest state in our country and inspiring other states to get on board too! After Earth Day, I have continued picking up trash and I have reached my next goal of 1000 bags removed in less than 2 months with the help of some amazing supporters and friends, some new and some lifelong… I am so grateful!  

Update!  We ended 2024 with a total of 11,331 bags!  I can see that what I’m doing is causing a change and making a difference… I want to continue to grow this movement… my next goal is 25,000 bags before March 23, 2024! I am going to count the bags from my group clean ups and the ones that my followers and supporters collect as well! This will not be an easy task... It took me 6 months to reach 5000 bags with picking up at least 20 bags  every single day! Any help or support would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for reading and thank you for your support and encouragement for a cleaner Kentucky and a cleaner environment!
