Help me compete in the Microsoft U.S. National Championship

Hello there, I am recent Associates Graduate!

I was named Nevada State Champion for my MOS Excel Specialist Certification! Scoring a perfect 1000/1000, I was invited to a competition held in Orlando, Florida to compete with other State Champions!

Sadly, I was informed by my college that they would not be able to fund my trip (hotel and flight) based on previous history of students canceling on them last minute after they paid for everything. Thus, I am now tasked to find ways to cover the cost of the flights and hotel.

The cost is looking around

Hotel: $450

Flight: $550

I live paycheck to paycheck, barely making ends meet. Gratefully, I am going to graduate this week from my community college, heading to a 4-year University. I am looking at thousands of dollars I have to pay out of pocket. I will be getting a second job to afford the tuition, so I do not have the ability to fund this trip on my own.

Thankfully, through all the amazing uproar and support from r/Excel I am now creating a GoFundMe to get support and funding to help me attend this event in June and show off my skills! The competition is called MOS U.S National Championship and going to be held June 17-19th at Orlando, Florida, this year. More information about the competition can be found here .

My goal is to compete and earn qualification for the World Championship! Compete against other top students from around the world. I will make sure to give everyone a follow-up about my experience at the competition and provide everyone that donates a personal picture of their usernames next to the Florida scenery.

I love Excel; I was hooked on it the day my part-time job had me create a list and have been using it for many years at my youthful age. Created countless projects for my job and personal usage. From budgets, investment portfolios to automatic filtered spreadsheet using functions and VBA's.

So I will truly appreciate every and all donations I receive to help me make this trip happen.
