Help me complete my capstone film, Reverie!

Hi, my name is Alex. I'm a filmmaker from Michigan, and I'm about to tackle my biggest project yet, Reverie.

The film's synopsis is as follows:

Joe is a lonely writer who longs to be the hero of his own story. When it becomes increasingly clear that that’s not the case, he finds himself retreating to a place where he can have anything he dreams of; fame, love, even superpowers. When his real life becomes too much to bear, Joe must reconcile his imagination with reality, before he loses his grip on it.

I'm super excited about this project. It feels like new ground for me, while also being the purest representation of my skills so far. The film is full of awe-inspiring scenes of spectacle layered with subtext, and the screenplay has received nothing but praise.

I'm also incredibly excited to work with some of my best friends who are unbelievably talented in their own right. The thing that means the most to me about this process so far is seeing my friends as excited about the movie as I am, to the point that they are taking some ownership of it.

We are going to make this movie no matter what, but reaching my goal would make production go more efficiently and help us create the absolute best film we can. For more information on the budget, please watch the breakdown video, or see my pitch deck below.
