Swim across the Bristol Channel
Donation protected
In 2021 I swam across the Bristol Channel (middle route), and then 3 weeks later I swam the English Channel. Unbeknown to me the pilot assured me that my landing point in wales was acceptable for the Original Triple British Crown. (English Channel, Bristol Channel and North Channel (NC slot last week of August 2024)), I was only the 3rd person since 1970s for the Bristol Channel so nobody really knew where the landing point was.
So weather dependent I am swimming it again ♀️ 7-12 September. A day or 2 before I will get the go ahead from the pilot and my start time will be 4am in the dark, with only swimming hat, goggles and swimming costume, from Glenthorne Cove in Devon. I want to raise money for Southport Swimming Club and also Southport Lifeboat Crew.
Just so you know I hate swimming in the dark and I hate anything sealife being near me. The Bristol Channel is the 2 biggest tidal range in the world, so I am hoping that once I get up to the welsh side the tide will whip me across to Porthcawl! I’m asking for your help to raise money for Southport Swimming Club and Southport Lifeboat crew. ♀️
I will add my tracker link to this post the day before, for you to follow my progress. All I need now are the weather gods to be in my side! ♀️
