Hello everyone My name is Ashley Williams! I’m crying as I’m writing this because I hate asking for help but at this time I have no choice. Here’s my testimony on May 31st was my 34th birthday and I was celebrating with family and friends having a great time. My mom called around 3 something saying she totaled her car so me and my fiancé went to pick her up because AAA said 9pm so I told her she might as well come with us back to my dads house. We all was drinking having a good time so it’s getting late my fiancé ready to go so we leave to drop my mom off at her home I can tell she’s heavily intoxicated but I think nothing of it because it’s not new to me. We get to her house I go inside to use the bathroom when I come down from the bathroom I remember her talking to herself and I asked what you talking about laughing she instantly snapped so I laughed again she like all my kids god got y’all I’m like yes he do she like y’all dirty h**s got my kids and think y’all doing something (She lost custody of my younger sisters for hitting the 16y/o in the head with a brick which caused her to get stitches) I’m like ma you never take responsibility for nothing she really got mad she hit me that’s when everything went black I remember restraining her from hitting me by then my fiancé comes in and separate us she swung and missed I had enough room to push her back she ran into her kitchen grabbed a kitchen knife so at this point I’m crying like really Ma you gone stab me this lady looked me straight in my eyes and stabbed me in my heart while saying bitch I hope you die I’m in shock so is my fiancé but she wasn’t done she swung the knife my fiancé pushed me as he got cut on his wrist. We called 911 but we couldn’t wait I placed pressure on my wound as he drove and tried apply pressure too, we made it to Sinai Grace and I’m rushed into surgery. They performed open heart surgery on me on June 1st 12:09 am I’m very thankful for that. I was discharged from Sinai Grace on June 3rd two hours after removing my chest tube. On June 5th I was having complications so I decided to come to another hospital and they diagnosed me with pneumonia and paracadisis(inflammation around my heart sac) so they kept me for 3 days to take the antibiotics and try to get the inflammation down. Everything felt fine until 6-12 I rush back to the hospital where they see that fluid is around my heart and in my lungs so I have to have another surgery where they enter another chest tube and window so the fluids can drain. Laying in this hospital bed 6/13 talking to my nurse she says start a Gofundme because I need help with medical bills, household expenses because there is no telling if or when I’ll be able to go back to work. This hurts so bad because I forgive my mom I hope she forgive herself. I really want to seek therapy because not only physically am I messed up but EMOTIONALLY and MENTALLY I’m broken because I don’t understand whatever you feel like you can help me with please do so I would greatly appreciate it ❤️‍❤️‍ #OpenHeartSurgerySurvivor #
