Help Me Feed "Cast Deep Orphanage" in Uganda.

As summer 2022 draws near, I wanted to share with you guys that God has called me and a dear friend of mine to the beautiful country of Africa. I have been praying about Africa for years, and my time has finally come. Today, in Uganda, "Leni Feed the Hunger" and "Cast Deep Foundation" would like to invite you guys to join us on this beautiful journey to serve the vulnerable and orphaned. As COVID-19 spreads, it poses a grave danger, especially in communities with struggling health systems. Vulnerable people are being hit the hardest by the outbreak: it is driving families deeper into hunger and poverty. In some hard-to-reach areas, Cast Deep Foundation in Uganda is ones of the only organizations providing healthcare, shelter, food, and love - we must step up and respond to this pandemic together. With your help, we can expand our water, sanitation, food, shelter, hygiene, and health programs to save more lives in Uganda. 

 

 

What is Cast Deep Foundation? We are a Non – Profit Organization where we firmly believe that every child deserves the opportunity to grow up in a God-loving, peaceful, and united family in a progressive society, fully enjoying basic rights like education, healthcare, shelter and joyous life. What is Leni Feed the Hunger: “Leni "Feed the Hunger" is a self-not-for-profit organization founded to bring attention and resources to the severely neglected, disadvantaged, abused and discarded globally. My mission started while volunteering for two straight weeks in slums in Cambodia to provide daily meals for families living in neighboring slums and makeshift huts. (Check Out More Here)

 Current Situation in Uganda: In Uganda children are vulnerable mainly due to poverty. About 55% of children from the age 0 to 4 in Uganda live in poverty and 24% - or 1 in 5 – live in extreme poverty. 38% of children ages 6 to 17 in Uganda live in poverty and 18% live in extreme poverty. Child poverty rates are much higher in Northern Uganda, with the lowest rates in Central and Eastern regions. In Uganda alone, 28 million people lack access to clean, safe drinking water. This barrier is keeping families from lifting themselves out of poverty. People in rural areas draw their drinking water mainly from surface sources such as ponds, rivers, and lakes. These sources are often watering holes for livestock, downhill from latrines, and catchments for mudslide debris - all dangerous contaminants that can contribute to life-threatening illnesses like diarrhea, cholera, dysentery, and hepatitis.

 

How can you participate (financial, relational, & spiritual support)?: This trip provides an opportunity for us and Cast Deep Foundation to meet the physical and spiritual needs of a community that is desperately in need. More than anything, I would value your prayers for us and those whose lives will be touched by God through this mission. I believe that God answers prayers, and I’m asking you to pray for our safety, good health, smooth travel, and financial support to help us "Feed the Hunger." Knowing that you will be praying will give us peace as we enter an unfamiliar place. Beyond your prayers, if you are led to join us physically or financially by supporting our mission,  we will be forever grateful.

 

 

How much do I need to raise? When is the Trip Date?  Beyond your prayers, if you are led to join me by financially supporting our mission, I would be forever grateful. I need to raise 3,703 Dollars by May 30th, 2022, to support these lovely children at the Cast Deep Foundation in Uganda. 100% of the amount raised will go towards the organization in Gomba, Uganda. Every donation via checks are tax deductible and exempted to: Cast Deep Foundation.

What will we do with the Money? The money will be donated to Cast Foundation to provide drinking water and meals for 300 children in the orphanage. All my personal expenses will be paid by me and all your donations will be 100% to the organization. With each donation we receive, we become all that much closer to our goal.
