Help me find essential healthcare for my daughters

Asalam w 3alaikum Everyone, My name is Ahmed, and I live in Gaza. As you all know, for the past 5/6 months we have experienced a brutal war, which has led to the healthcare system collapsing. For this reason, it is with a heavy heart that I am here today starting this page. This is my story.

I am Ahmed, and I have 5 children, 2 of which are special needs. The first of which is my daughter Suad, she is 17 years old and the oldest. She suffers from hydrocephalus, a condition which involves a build up of fluid in the brain. This has led to a loss of hearing and reduced mental capabilities. The second is Basmela, she is 14 years old and also suffers from hydrocephalus. This has caused her to suffer from cerebral palsy, hearing loss and also physical and mental disabilities. Due to the ongoing war and destruction in Gaza, the two children have been unable to receive medical care from the organisations that provide it. What has made matters even worse, is that me and my family have lost our home and livelihood. With the continued suffering in Gaza, I have lost my income and am now in a position where it is nearly impossible to provide Suad and Basmela with the necessary health and rehabilitation care.

These funds will allow us to leave Gaza and travel to Egypt where I can give them the health and rehabilitation care they need. The two girls need a wheelchair and hearing aids, among other things. My Sister in the UK, Wesam will be collecting the funds on my behalf, and once we reach our desired target she will transfer them to me.

Help from you, even a little, could make a difference in their lives and put a smile on these young girls’ faces in light of these horrific circumstances.
