Help Me Fix Viola's Car & Get Her A Place To Stay

Last week, I got into a car wreck with this lovely senior. She was at fault, but she turned out to be 93 years old and basically homeless. She has trouble walking and shouldn't be driving anymore, but she doesn't have many options.

This sweet old woman is living out of her car and motels in the Mojave area because of a recent eviction. Though she was kicked out of her house for being unable to pay the upped rent, she still faithfully paid her car insurance premiums (because that's the kind of person she is). If she wants to get her car fixed, she still has to pay the $1k deductible. She's considering selling her car, but unless it's fixed, it won't be worth nearly what she can get for it.

Immediately after the accident, her only concern was whether or not I was ok. When I assured her that I was fine, she cried and hugged me, and said her prayers were answered since I wasn't hurt. Well, I am hoping my friends and family will help me help her this holiday season. I know what MY prayers for her are, and they involve being someplace more SAFE and WARM and not having to worry about getting her car fixed or about having a secure roof over her head this Christmas.

This Christmas, I'm asking for a donation, big or small, to help cover Viola's collision deductible and to help me possibly get her and her pooch into an apartment and out of Motel 6's. I took my kids with me to drop off a pie and sit with her for a bit, and she was delighted by having some company. She's a real sweetheart and, at 93, deserves a little peace of mind this holiday season.
