After regards

I am Muhammad Al-Mughrabi, a young man in his twenties, a graduate of the Faculty of Engineering, majoring in interior design. I have been a struggler since my childhood. I have faced many challenges and difficult times in my life before the current war in Gaza.

After being forcibly displaced from my mother’s house, where I had lived with her since her separation from my father, after she devoted her life to her children, settled in her new home, and did her best to make it befitting of us, I began my journey, moving throughout the Gaza Strip from the north to the far south, and with multiple destinations and bad conditions, this led me to end up... To live in a tent in the central region of the Gaza Strip - Deir al-Balah - where I only own my name and

some canned food called “food.”

A closer look

Before starting to work in the field of interior design, I used to work in the field of tourism, “hotels, restaurants, cruise breaks, and cafes.”

I worked in most of the fields that fall under the field of tourism for approximately five years.

Then I started working in the field of freelance work, “graphic design and logo design.” It was necessary to study marketing in order to make a clear mark in the field, and this is what I did. After that, I was nominated to work with the best emerging engineers in the region, and this was my beginning to enter the world of interior

design and work with offices. High level.

In addition to my work in the office with engineering professor Ahmed Al-Jojo, who was influenced by Arabic architecture and pottery, I began studying modern Arab architecture and then the foundations of interior design. Since the power of influence that architecture has on societies is considered an important means of expressing our culture, I found that the region lacks a culture of interior design. Organizing the things around us helps us improve the quality of our lives.

So I started creating my own project: a studio that specializes in improving the quality of life with the help of interior design - for young people - and helping them achieve their goals, and after several weeks from the beginning of my journey to achieve my dream in the

field that I aspire to.

The events of October 7 began

Contact with the engineer Ahmed was lost, my office was bombed, and then my mother’s house, in addition to the family home, everything disappeared in the blink of an eye, my room, my certificates, my projects, my paintings - yes, I am an artist too - in addition to a black box above the closet in which I used to hide my memories.

When we escaped from our house, we ran under fire. We could only get out with one bag of flour and some food.

The most difficult thing we faced in the war was the inability to settle in one place and our flight to seven destinations. In addition to the events that we witnessed from the beginning (fear, hunger, cold, loneliness, illness, neglect, arrest, death and destruction) were enough to eliminate all my dreams and bury all my thoughts.

But despite everything that has happened and is happening, I still resist and strive for the tip of hope that I see at the end of the tunnel.

I am really eager to collect enough to achieve what I aspired to and I will deeply appreciate the help you are providing me.

Donations will be used to continue my education and rebuild what was destroyed and help me get back on my feet after falling to zero.
