Help Me Get Back To Meriden CT

Hi everyone, I’m fundraising for me to get to Meriden CT to do a skate event in the new Meriden Skatepark. For some that already know, I moved to Arkansas about a year back. Before I left I helped the city of Meriden bring back the skatepark. Here is the back story.

About 9 years ago Meriden had a skatepark that was demolished by the city. For the longest skaters had nowhere to skate. The nearest park was the next town over in Middlefield. So 2 years ago a few other skaters and I came together and had an event at a broken down tennis. This tennis court was located down the street from the Meriden Mall. In that event we had people from all over CT come together to bring ramps, food, drinks and skate goods for the community. We had about over 90 people coming together for this event. It went so well that the local paper did a story on it and it sparked the city to do something about it. So they contacted me to be a part of the skatepark city project.

What they wanted me to do is to partake in who will be building the skatepark as well as designing it. The city picked a location that was an old ice rink at City Park that no one was using for years. Several months passed and we got a skatepark. The problem is after I moved they started building the park. So that means I never got a chance to see the park in person. With this gofundme I will love to give back to the community by having a skate event with other CT companies. The money will cover my plane ticket for a couple of days as well as products that will be given away to the community. This skatepark means so much to me and I would love to give back not only for the community but for skateboarding.
