Help me fix my car so I can go back to work.

My 210k mile 16yo car has finally died in a way that I cannot easily fix. The engine lost oil pressure and died, and has left me unable to go back to work doing the job I did before all this COVID stuff happened. My job requires that I drive all over west Texas and SE New Mexico to work in the oil fields. I can make pretty good money when I work but the last 18 months has left me without the money to buy a new car or repair my current one for the money I have available to me.....SO, I need enough to buy an engine, which I can swap out myself or buy a new(to me) car to get back to work to earn enough money to buy that engine.

I have to move out of the apartment that I am now in by 15OCT2021 and this makes it very difficult to move forward from this point. I have a friend who has a trailer that we can use to move the car to where he lives, but that leaves me living in a tent or in his garage(maybe).

I am not a lazy man, but having been sick in the middle of all of this has left me in this position without enough money to get out of this trap I am in.

If I can raise $3,500 - $4,000 I can achieve my goal of being able to go back to work
