I'm David Kane, and I've been honoured to be selected by the Social Democrats to stand in the upcoming local elections this June for the Piltown Local Electoral Area, on the Kilkenny Council. This covers all of south Kilkenny, from Owning/Piltown across to Glenmore and down to Slieverue, Ferrybank, Kilmacow, and Mooncoin.

The time for real change is now, and with your support, we can bring fresh vision and innovative solutions to our community.

Why I'm Running:

Community Empowerment: I aim to enhance community involvement in local decision-making to ensure our policies truly reflect the needs and wishes of our residents.

Sustainable Development: I'm committed to promoting sustainable development practices that preserve our environment while fostering economic growth.

Education and Youth Services: Enhancing educational facilities and services for our youth, ensuring they have the best start in life.

Health and Well-being: Advocating for better local health services and recreational spaces to improve community well-being.

Above all, I will be pushing for access to affordable housing when and wherever possible.

€50 will allow us to create and distribute five impactful election posters.

€100 enables us to print and distribute 2,000 informative leaflets.

Donation Guidelines:

Please note that we can only accept donations from residents of the Republic of Ireland or Irish citizens abroad, and no individual donations can exceed €1,000. We cannot accept anonymous donations over €100. Following your donation, we may contact you to confirm your details.

By donating, you confirm that you are either an Irish resident or an Irish citizen living overseas and that you have not exceeded the maximum annual donation to the Social Democrats of €2,500.
