Life-Changing Surgery : Parry Romberg Syndrome

18 years ago I noticed a ringworm that developed under my left eye - and didn't get better when treated with anti fungal creams. The Ringworm progressed aggressively into my scalp and eye , it ended up as a dark patch ,with a hard texture. In a few months I noticed my little face atrophying to the left and my hair and teeth fell off on the left side.

This was Parry Romberg Syndrome, a rare and cruel condition that causes one side of the face to waste away as seen on my picture.

I was unfortunate to not get any help ,or any treatment since I was 12 years old, as doctors were clueless about it and didn't pay attention as I cried for help. It therefore progressed aggressively and affected the functionality of half of my face.
