Help Me Get to Django In June This Year

Hey! I'm raising funds to send myself to Django In June this year, the legendary sleepaway jazz guitar camp in western Massachusetts. For 20 years, this event has staffed dozens of the world's finest and most respected musicians in the genre to offer 6 days of workshops, instruction, and endless nights of jamming.

Last year, what was supposed to be my first year there, was all but spoiled when my car blew up on the way and cost me all but the final day, which cost me my investment (not to mention the car) and made me just like, super duper sad. But that one day that I was able to experience was the most inspired I've felt since I first discovered Django and jazz music. The feeling is still with me today.

As an entirely self taught guitarist, who didn't have the grades or the money for school, last year was the first time I got critical instruction and wow was it beneficial. Just three hours of classes last year completely changed my playing. And two of my litteral heros gave the instruction. DiJ is a really special place!

For anyone who donates, I would like to offer personal online instruction! For larger donations, I can offer packages of monthly or weekly jazz guitar lessons.

I tried doing a Kickstarter for this, but apparently you're not allowed to raise money for "tuition" on there...

So if you'd like to contribute and help me study with the greatest guitarists in the world, I would be so thankful! And remember, I'm trying to become an educator as well, so please, if you donate, hit me up for a private lesson or lessons as a thank you!

This goal will cover tuition, room and board, meals, tickets to the closing concerts, travel expenses, and hopefully a little left over for merch. Things have been tight financially and well, I can't afford it on my own. Naturally, the days I paid for and missed last year don't roll over.
