Help me get to Hope 4 Cancer, Mexico.

As some of you kind souls know, I have been diagnosed with Stage 4 Bowel Cancer. We are in the thick of it presently after 6 tough months. I came off chemo at the end of Jan and we saw some shrinkage of my liver lesion and lymph nodes. I have undergone major abdominal surgery to remove both ovaries and fallopian tubes. It was a success having removed a very large tumour on my right ovary. It is a long road ahead, no doubt, with twists and turns along the way. BUT, we remain positive. I now await on our next steps, which will no doubt be more chemo, the possibility of further surgery and radiation.

After chemo, radation and any cancerous surgery, CTC cells are left behind (mother cancer cells) which circulate because the body is under stress post operation. It is in an inflammatory environment, and this can lead to further metatasese (spread) months or years later. This is especially the case in late stage cancers.
