Hello everyone my name is Riley Weinstein and I am an Adaptive CrossFit Athlete raising funds to compete in San Antonio Texas for the Adaptive CrossFit Games.
If you don’t know my story when I was 2 years old I was diagnosed with a cavernous angioma (brain aneurysm) at the age of 2 years old followed by 2 strokes which left me paralyzed on the left side of my body and face. I had to go through many surgeries 2 to remove the cavernous angioma and the rest shunt revision surgeries.
I’ve had over 20 surgeries and have had to relearn to do everything again at the age of 4 years old. Walk, talk, eat, speak and even hold my head up on my own.
I have had to go through many therapies physical, recreational, equestrian therapy. You name it I did it.
I did dance for a long time and started at the age of 5 years old. My mom was a dancer and put me in dance to be like a fun therapy. In dance my mom had to hold me up and help me move along with the class. Dance helped me so much so I danced for over 10 years dancing competitively and teaching my own dance classes for students with disabilities.
As I got older i started getting into CrossFit and have been competing for 3 years now. This year being my 3rd. I competed in multiple competitions CrossFit Games open 2021, 2022, 2023, and now 2024. WheelWod Games qualifiers 2022, 2023 with the WheelWod Games 2022, and 2023. In 2023 i got 4th “Fittest Adaptive CrossFit Athlete Women’s Neuro Major.”
This year I will competing in the first Adaptive CrossFit Games Powered by WheelWod September 19th-24th. I competed in the Adaptive CrossFit Games Open in February-March, Semifinals May 8th-13th, and now I was one of the top 10 adaptive athletes chosen to compete at the 1st Adaptive CrossFit Games in San Antonio Texas. I am extremely grateful and thankful to have this opportunity to go to the Games and be able to show what I can do and what I am capable of.
Please help me raise the funds to work toward my goal in competing and traveling to San Antonio Texas September 19-24th.
Funds raises will be going toward
Flight for me and my family $601
Hotel suite 94 per night / $376 total
Food & beverages $200
Transportation $100
Gym time (if needed) $30
Extra funds for lady products $60
Training $900
Just an estimate but my goal is $3,000 to have enough for me and my guests.
Thank you for considering
