Hi, my name is yareen salah , and this is my story .
I’m 25Years old , a Palestinian living in Eygpt , Dentist and former show-jumper .
Before October 7th , my family had a beautiful life but everything has changed . They have displaced over and over , and their lives are destroyed .
So i am reaching out for support to help and my family leave Gaza.
my family consists of 6 members :
salah ahmed abu nahel ( 60y old ) father
mervat hasan abu nahel ( 50y old ) mother
emad salah abu nahel ( 34y old ) brother
wafaa abu nahel ( 24y old ) sister in law
mo salah ( 4y old ) nephew
omar ( 4 months old ) nephew
My brother are living out in a tent with my 4 year old boy , 4 months old new born , his wife, and both my Parents. my family have witnessed massacres of our Family and friends, we’ve lost over 17 people from our own family. I and my Palestinian-American Husband living in Cairo Egypt, we are trying so hard to get us out and reached out to the American Embassy but they can’t help.
My family have lost all three of our homes in Tel El Hawa in Gaza, they were completed destroyed. We have lost both of our cars .
My brother have lost his work , my dad’s real estate company got bombed and demolished, and even my mom’s work the gym.
My mother who is a fifty-year-old - gym trainer. Unfortunately, in the last year, we did several medical examinations for her, and it was discovered that she had a severe ulcers in her stomach wall ( she’s vomiting blood and her stomach does not accept food or water) . the doctors tell us that she needed an urgent operation cause she have initial stage of Cancer . but unfortunately, the war came, and everything was postponed, and now none of her medications are available, which are considering only a painkiller, and her health and psychological condition deteriorated day by day .
As of how we are living, it’s a nightmare my brother and all of my family out in the street in a tent with no resources of life what so ever. Both of his boys been sick and ill nonstop . The diseases and high Pollution is everywhere. As of my older nephew and sister in law have severe anxiety and panic attacks from the bombard. And I am pretty sure that all of them have PTSD. I can’t even describe what people in Gaza are going through. They are killing them in all ways possible no food no drink nowhere to sleep. My Father have high blood pressure and can’t even find his medicine. For my newborn nephew he’s very unlucky he was born couple of days before the war and he didn’t take a single vaccine shot yet. My brother said “ I don’t know how long we can survive this way, and I am Scared soon to lose them. I accepted losing my work, home, memories, school, friends, and Family members. But I just can’t accept losing my kids or my parents” . Thank you for your time, hopefully they can get the help and support that they need to survive Gaza.The Expenses that is needed in order leave is pretty expensive and we have lost everything in this genocide. The People in Gaza are asked to pay 5-6 thousand dollars per person even kids in order to have their name on Rafah crossing border.
