Help Fund Sugar’s Last Adventures! #CancerSucks

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Kimberly, and I'm trying to raise funds to give my dog, Sugar, the best last adventures I can. I have exhausted all my personal finances this year trying to save her life, and now I need help trying to give her the best send-off.

It is crazy to think that four months ago I began this fundraiser thinking my dog had just two months left to live. I'm happy to say, we are now on month four and Sugar is still here. Her will to live is astonishing!

I'm saving up for our next big adventure to take her to see snow for the first time in January/February. Until then I'm taking her on what little adventures I can.

If you are able to give, any little bit can help me provide Sugar with the adventures I have always wanted to take her on, but never had the money to do so.

If this fundraising platform is not for you, please feel free to use my personal accounts:

I'm documenting what adventures I can take her on via the Instagram account, Sugars_Sweet_Adventures.

I've included a summary of what we've gone through from December 2022 to July 2023.

Her unfortunate medical “adventure” of hers started with a misdiagnosis from a specialist at Blue Pearl Pet Hospital in December. Based on that diagnosis, she underwent an unnecessary surgery in January. The biopsy from that surgery revealed that the cells were cancerous. She was diagnosed with a myxosarcoma. After paying for many specialists, the good staff at UF Small Animal Hospital gave us hope that with surgery and radiation treatment, Sugar might be able to beat this.

I poured everything I had and then some. After her last treatment in May, no cancer was showing on the CT, so she was deemed a cancer survivor!

At the end of June, she started sneezing horribly, and the Winter Park Pet Hospital gave her antibiotics and drops. I felt things started to clear up, but after one of her walks in July, she began to bleed from her mouth. I sent a photo to the UF staff, and we thought it was an abscess. On 7/27, I took her back to UF for a closer look, and sadly, the tumor was back. It is growing fast, and they felt she only had a couple of months left.

The current goal is lofty, but why not a shoot for the moon! I want to give Sugar some fantastic experiences in her last moments with me. Anything left over will be used for her cremation costs and paying off her medical debt.

Thank you for caring enough to read about her cancer fight, and I hope you can help bring me bring her excellent experiences in her final days.
