Can you help me help a wounded military veteran?

I’ve been chosen as a rider with “Bike Tours For The Wounded” for their ‘D-Day 80th Anniversary Veteran Tour’ next June.

This charitable organisation provides support to wounded, injured or sick military veterans from all services and ranks. Both British and American military personnel have benefited greatly from these tours. I won’t know the nationality of my passenger until we are introduced next year.

My interest in military history has existed as long as my love of motorcycling and I will be donating my time, riding skill and pillion seat to carry a wounded military veteran on what will be a cathartic journey to aid their recovery. I have to self-fund the total cost of the tour as well as the channel crossing fee, tented accommodation and fuel for my motorcycle. I have already deposited £500 in order to confirm my commitment, which allows the charity to secure a place for a wounded veteran.

If you can spare a contribution to support us, I promise that my wounded veteran will know we are riding with your support during the 8 days in my care and I will share with you pictures and a written account of the journey.
