Help me help Kamala

I am traveling to the swing state of Wisconsin to volunteer on the Kamala Harris for President campaign as a field organizer, primarily someone who knocks on doors and trains others to do the same. I'm raising funds to help cover the cost of my trip to America’s Dairyland—i.e., travel, car rental, housing, and incidental expenses while on the road. I estimate the costs will be approximately $8000. I hope to raise that now and will increase my goal as needed.

Wisconsin is one of the three must win states and there I will also be able to support their down-ballot candidates including re-electing (D) Senator Tammy Baldwin, and flipping the WI-8th by electing Democrat Kristin Lyerly to what is an undefended House seat.

I'm attaching a letter of recommendation written by my supervisor in Ohio in 2008, which makes the case more strongly than I could as to my worth as a Field Organizer.

P.S. Any funds in surplus of my actual expenses will be used on behalf of other volunteers (e.g. gas, food, lodging) or to cover expenses at the local headquarters.

It is my utmost pleasure to recommend Richard Salzman. I met and worked alongside Richard in the battleground state of Ohio. Richard was the gift any struggling field organizer could ask for. He has the strategic skills, the knowhow, and, most of all, the unyielding grit needed to get the job done well and on time. He is a feverishly efficient worker and solid and passionate speaker and volunteer leader. His volunteer trainings were efficient and exhaustive and his appeals to potential recruits and undecided voters were consistently well finessed.

In 2008, the West Columbus, Ohio turf I managed with Richard's help turned "blue" for the first time since LBJ by a fraction of a percentage point. I know, both in my gut and based on the sheer volume of data he and volunteers he trained created, that that would not have happened without him. I'm grateful to him for that.
