Amara’s final surgery (hopefully) is complete!

Hi! I am Susan Hollingsworth! I started this gofundme for my daughter, Amara Herrera, to help out with the growing medical bills and lost money due to time off work that resulted from a recent surprise diagnosis of Diverticulitis!

After her initial diagnosis, when she went to the emergency room with an abscess and perforation, we thought we were done with all of this! However, a colonoscopy led to the discovery that another surgery was in her future! She had a sigmoid colon resect done and was on the mend when she began experiencing severe pain. It turned out that she had another perforation and 2 more abscesses. Much to our surprise, this resulted in her receiving a temporary ileostomy bag. This means after caring for the ileostomy for the next 3-6 months, she will have to have yet another surgery to remove it.

This sweet girl is really goin through it! She needs your help if you’d be so kind to donate! Every dollar counts and it is absolutely appreciated! Not only does she have medical bills piling up, but she will be missing out on many weeks of work putting her in a big financial bind! The stress of this is the last thing she needs!

UPDATE:

Amara had a reversal on Monday! Surgery was successful and her ileostomy bag is NO MORE! However - the bills continue!! Another surgery, another 3 days in the hospital, and another 4 weeks off work means she needs your help again!! I am recirculating this in case any of you lovely souls are able to help her out with these medical expenses! Thanks in advance!!
