It has been seven years since I left New Jersey for Los Angeles to follow a dream that was planted in me as a little girl. I have loved every minute of my journey! There have been many successes and many challenges along the way, but they have all brought me to this point in my career. I wouldn't change a moment!
Over the past seven years, I have been blessed to have written, directed, produced and acted in a number of projects. Through hard work and perseverance (and lots of trial and error) I have learned so much about what it takes to succeed and thrive as an artist. This includes bringing one of my own visions to life, my short film, "Come Autumn," which will be completed by the end of this year.
I am now SAG-Eligible and have secured a great management team in Scott Carlson Management. They believe in my talent, and are prepared to help me take the next step in my rapidly blossoming career.
Now, in order for me to push through to an even higher level and open up a new world of opportunities, I must join the union by becoming a member of The Screen Actors Guild (SAG-AFTRA). "SAG-AFTRA membership is a significant rite of passage for every working professional in the media and entertainment industry." (www.sagaftra.org)
(with Philip Lindsey, Director of Photography for Come Autumn)
I am excited about what this will mean for my career and the new beginning that stands in front of me. The only thing left to do is to come up with the $3300 cost to join the union. I have a strong belief in myself and would normally be determined to do this on my own, but I have also learned during my seven years in Los Angeles that no one reaches their dreams alone.
So here I am, asking all of you to believe in me and partner with me in my success. I am hoping that as this dream is fulfilled for me, I will be able to use my story to inspire others to take a shot at their own dreams.
My goal is to have the money raised by January before pilot season begins. I appreciate all of your support! No donation is too small (or too large)! Please feel free to share.
