Help me keep my house (cannot work due mental heath)
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Katie and I am fundraising, because I am desperate to keep my home.
I have a diagnosis of Bypola and depressive disorder and am yet to find the right medications to fully stabilize myself and this has resulted in me having to take time off work. I do have income but it is limited and things are extremely tight and the income is for only a short period of time. I have two children and was hoping that these funds will cover the mortgage so that they will never be homeless. It is my worst fear.
I worked in the helping profession as a social worker but it took it's toll. I tried to go back to work and have since been unable to continue because of my mental health.
I am particularly devastated as I have worked multiple Jobs and could always successfully support myself. I have two degrees and a diploma. I have also tried applying for other jobs but without any success.
I only want my children to have safety and stability and it will not be long before we lose our only car. My mental health means that I struggle with change or complex tasks. I am devastated, I have worked my whole life and now I am scared that the home that is rough as it is, will be at risk. I am asking for your kindness and generosity, and I know it's a lot. I am hoping that I can get enough so that it will cover for the car or a second hand car and for the house payments until the kids turn 18.
I may be on benefits for the rest of my life and having the home loan paid out means, we could survive, on limited income.
Please, please, I desperately need this and for my children that are 10 and 5. I have spent the last 5 years helping others, I would never, normally ask this but I am looking at having no income, possibly no car and this is all so very hard. I do not expect much and If I have to ask 214 000 people, I will.
