URGENT APPEAL: Help My Family Live & Evacuate Gaza

Donation protected
I am Saher Al-Sendawi living in cental Gaza, Deir al-Balah.

I am reaching out in desperate need of your support.
We are living in extremely difficult times. As the oldest sibling among my 3 brothers and 3 sisters, it is my responsibility to take care of my family; however, I can not manage doing this on my own in the deadly circumstances we live in.

Your support will get us by one day at a time. Your donations will go directly towards essentials like food, medicine, and shelter to keep us alive and hopefully, we will survive this through till the end.

I have 3 brother: Shaker, Mohammad, Abdullah,
I have 3 sisters: Mariam, Jana, and Hana.
My parents: Rajab and Mona

All we yearn for right now is to focus on surviving. We have been living in a tent 11 months now on the shore in Deir al-balah. Our physical and psychological health is significantly deteriorating everyday due to the lack of food, contamination of water, spread of diseases, and overall unhygienic living circumstances.

This is our story:

One week into the war, on October 11, our house in Remal was bombed. Thankfully, we survived, but we lost our home with all its cherished memories buried in it.
We sough refuge in Rafah, carrying only what we could salvage and set up a tent to shelter the nine members of my family.
In Rafah, we were faced with many challenges past the limits of suffering. Adapting to this new lifestyle was extremely difficult. We endured the continuous dangers of bombings and shelling, the rampant spread of infectious diseases, the scarcity of clean water and food, and countless other hardships.

Rafah.

We lived this way the first 6 months of the war. Fearing greatly for our lives amidst the increase in relentless bombings and tent massacres, we were overwhelmed and decided to evacuate to an area in central Gaza, Deir Al Balah, hoping to find safety and solace among danger.

On our way from Rafah to Deir Al Balah.

Once we arrived in Deir Al Balah, we were greeted by a chaotic scene of beyond tightly packed tents and multitudes of people, leaving no space for us to establish our own refugee.

So, my family and I had no choice but to construct our tent near the ocean, as it is the only available space in the overcrowded area.

Deir Al Balah.

This is our reality now. We have sough refuge in Deir Al Balah for safety. However, life here is proving far more challenging than in Rafah. Every second of our day is filled with true agony.

My family's psychological and physical state is destroyed, but our love for life strengthens our hope for a better future. Everyday we yearn for the prospects of a future where we can grow, learn, and live as families do in this world.

Your generosity can make all the difference for me and my family. I am compelled to reach out, to plead for assistance from those who may lend a helping hand in our time of need. Every donation is a symbol of hope and a step closer to our second chance at life.

Thank you for your support during this profoundly challenging time.
