Help me move to Belize!

Hi, my name is Merlin Star and I recently was hired for a lecturer position at the University of Belize. I've lived in poverty for almost all of my life and this job has benefits I could never imagine: Paid vacation, assistance with 1st month of housing, insurance, and more.

I have enough to cover the airline ticket and the university will handle most of the visa expenses. However, there's a few expenses that I still need help covering.

Your money will help cover the following:

A backpack (for ease of moving around on campus)- $50

Clothing (since I'll have to throw away some clothing and buy formal clothing)- $200

Taxi (for airport in Canada and in Belize)- $70

Masks (P100 replacement along with some disposable N95s)- $75

Hotel for a week- $750

Food- $150

Iron supplements and Tylenol- $15

Bottom half of Surface Book 2 (I will have some remote classes and it'll make my life much easier)- $200

Rounded up to $1600 to account for fees taken out.
