Help Me Pay 4 Specialist Appointments

Hi my name is Pat,

I have been diagnosed with limb girdle muscular dystrophy and autoimmune necrotising myopathy. I am asking for helping with medical costs as I wait to get assistance with disability insurance. I have been unwell for over a year since I contracted COVID in feb last year and have difficulty walking and cannot eat solid foods without risk or sensation of choking. but these last three weeks have been insane health wise. I have had difficulties breathing and chest pain due to pleurisy and pericarditis, difficulties coordinating, falling over and losing balance. I have also experienced dizziness and electric shock feelings in my hands so my doctors and my neurolgoist are trying to find out whats happening on top of my diagnosis, whether that is related to the dystrophy, long covid, recent illness or something new.

I have been in emergency department 12 times in 2 weeks with little help from ED so I am trying to obtain more appointments and consultations from my team of doctors and specialists but this costs money.

I am needing to get more frequent scans that are not covered fully by medicare and put me out of pocket by hundreds of dollars and my specialist appointments with my neurologist, dietitican, speech pathologist to maintain swallowing function and exercise physio to maintain muscle mass are not subsidised. so please help if you can id be very thankful.
