Help Me Pay My Rent While I Look for a New Job

Hello there. Thanks for taking the time to read my lil' story. Let me start off by saying I don't feel entirely awesome about having to do this, but at the moment I'm not sure what else to do. Hopefully you can be of assistance...

Recently I was let go from my place of employment of over 16 years. It came out of the blue, and to say I was not prepared for it would certainly be an understatement. Money was tight PRIOR to this happening, and I had already been thinking about finding part-time work to supplement my main source of income. Now I need FULL-TIME employment and the bills are piling up. Fortunately, most things will be okay if I wait a little to pay them, but I HAVE to pay my rent.

I've been submitting applications and scouring the job boards. I even have a head-hunter person looking for work for me. I had an interview the other day, and I'm pretty sure I got that position, but it's only part-time and the hourly rate is nowhere near what I need to survive. Obviously I'll take it if offered the job, but I'm still trying for something more.

In the meantime, my rent of $1,895.00 for the month of March is due, and I have nothing saved up to cover it. I realize this is an INCREDIBLY HUGE ask, but I suppose it couldn't hurt to throw it out to The Universe and see what happens. If I can get my rent paid and not have to worry about that for another few weeks, it would really help me not stress out quite as much over job-hunting (not to mention I'd get to keep living where I'm at).

I know times are tough for everyone, but if you have the means and can donate even a tiny amount to my cause, I urge you to please do.
