Help Me Pay Off Emergency Water Heater Replacement!
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Tiffany Elliott. I never ask for money, but my hot water heater stopped functioning. I went without hot water for over a month (including over my birthday) because I didn't have the money to do anything about it.

Finally, I had enough to pay for an estimate or two and the estimated cost of a repair, if repair was possible. Unfortunately, that wasn't an option. After having multiple people check the heater and confirm it wasn't repairable (including one paid estimate), I had to have it replaced. I also had to have the old one hauled away and the cabinet repaired.
Three estimates gave me the lowest price of $1895. (The other two estimates were more for the exact same services, including one estimate for $2700.)

I didn't have the cash to pay the guy replacing my water heater, so I had to put the amount on my credit card. "No big deal," I thought. "I'll just pay this off before my Introductory APR runs out for the card in November 2025."
But I grabbed the wrong card. Now, I have until just APRIL to pay off the entire amount, and I don't have enough coming in to do that.

I'm freaking out, because I had a plan to pay off what I already have on the April card on time, but with the additional $1895, there's no way I can do it. With the preexisting balance (which was a balance transfer to get away from paying a high APR on a different card), my card is now at $4,468.12, and if I don't pay it off by the end of the introductory APR time, I'm going to add a TON of interest--nearly $1400 by my estimation (since they usually charge interest on the whole amount if you don't pay in time).

I'd be fine if I's used the right card, but I didn't and now I'm screwed unless I can get a little help.
Please consider helping me out of this jam. Living without hot water was really difficult for me, and I waited because of money troubles. If I don't get any support for this, I'm going to be in a pit again. And that'll mean I don't get to repair my roof before the rainy season comes.
Thanks in advance if you're able to shove even just a few bucks my way to help with this.
100% of the funds will go to pay off this debt. EDIT: WE DID IT!! I have enough to pay off the water heater (and GoFundMe's fees, too!) Any money above that will be used to help fix my roof before the rains come. Thank you all for your support!!
