Help me Raise Funds to Purchase A Viola

Hello! I'm a violinist who has turned to the dark side - and fallen in love with the viola! I still play the violin professionally, and it will always be my first love, but I have developed a passion for the viola and its beautiful sound and repertoire. I have been performing on the viola since 2004, but the viola I own is a student model and is a very low-quality instrument. I have been dreaming of playing a nicer instrument for many years and this August, I am giving a viola recital (on a borrowed instrument graciously provided by the Cahill family) both to express my love for the instrument and to help me raise money to purchase a higher quality viola. I welcome you to attend the recital if you can - I'm performing at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Minneapolis, Minnesota on Sunday, August 27th at 3pm. I'd be honored to have you join me! I'll be playing works by Johann Sebastian Bach and Rebecca Clarke, performing with my husband, Jeremy Swider on violin, Kerri LeJeune on piano and Eliza Edwards on cello.
