Help me raise money for a scan

Hi, my name is Rose. I'm 20 years old and I suffer from CFS/ME, HSD (Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder), depression, anxiety, CPTSD and gynaecogical issues.

I have suffered from missing periods (0 for up to 18 months), heavy bleeding, chronic abdominal pain and swelling, chest pain and swelling and severe bloating since the age of 12.

In addition to this there are many other related symptoms such as fatigue, insomnia, mood swings, stress, hair loss and bowel issues.

Despite seeking a referral to a gynaecologist under the NHS multiple times, my symptoms have been dismissed. I have heard everything from "it's all in your head" to "why does any of this matter if you are already taking the pill [as medication]?" However, these health issues persist and show no signs of resolving.

Every time I have requested for an internal ultrasound scan to investigate possible conditions such as PCOS and endometriosis, it has been refused. I have only undergone external pelvic ultrasounds which can only diagnose structural issues with the pelvis.

If there are cysts, polyps or endometrial growths in places it shouldn't be, this could still go undetected.

It is to the point where I have had days where I am unable to bear weight on my right foot because my entire right leg is affected during flare ups.

During these times I have been bed-bound and require assistance with basic tasks such as being transferred from my motorised bed to a wheelchair to be taken to the bathroom. In the case of not being able to move at all my food, medications and other necessities have to be brought to me.

As you can imagine, this is causing a severe impact on my day-to-day life. I am currently not working or studying due to these health issues and therefore have no active income to pay for my own medical treatment.

As the public healthcare system is not willing to book me an internal ultrasound scan which would confirm what I have once and for all and help me finally receive the treatment I need, I have to pay for it myself privately.

The cost to get the internal ultrasound scan done privately is £219. It is possible to pay it in 4 installments of £54.75 which I intended on doing, but I would have to wait a number of months just to be able to afford this.
