Hello Friends & Family!
As many of you know, I have been accepted into the University of Delaware School of Music in the fall for Music Education and French Horn Performance. I couldn’t be more excited to take this next huge step towards my career goals, but with that, the time has come for me to upgrade my instrument to a professional model.
For several months, I have been researching and trying out different horns and have fallen in love with one. If you know anything about the French Horn, you know that they are not an inexpensive instrument, but, you get what you pay for!
It is with a humble swallowing of pride that I have decided to reach out to my friends and family for help making this dream a reality.
I have been involved with music for as long as I can remember. I started playing piano, and soon after that, moved to pursuing wind instruments. I played French horn all throughout high school. While in high school, I not only played with my schools orchestras and wind ensembles, I also participated DCYouth Orchestra for a few years performing as principal horn until I graduated.
Soon after graduating high school, life hit me hard and I put my horn down for 6 years. I did a lot of growing up in those 6 years and realized that music is what I wanted to do with my life. There was nothing that made me as happy. So I reenrolled at a community college and will now be continuing my education at the University of Delaware.
I have worked incredibly hard to get where I am today and I know that I will continue working just as hard on the path, eventually getting my Masters and Doctoral degrees. Being able to upgrade my instrument is essential for me to be the best I can be.
