Hi, I’m Paul, and in May 2025 I’m taking on the challenge of a lifetime — a 17-day trek to Everest Base Camp.

This self-funded journey will take me through high-altitude trails, breath taking Himalayan landscapes, and some of the most remote villages on Earth. But this adventure is about more than personal achievement — it’s about giving back to a cause very close to my heart: Chepstow Foodbank.

Why Chepstow Foodbank?

Chepstow Foodbank, part of the Trussell Trust network, supports individuals and families in crisis by providing emergency food parcels and essential support when it’s needed most. As living costs continue to rise, more and more people in our local community are relying on foodbanks just to get by.

That’s why I’ve chosen to use this trek as a platform to raise vital funds.

This trip is entirely self-funded — meaning every single penny donated will go directly to Chepstow Foodbank. Your support will help:

Provide food parcels for individuals and families facing crisis

Fund essential day-to-day operations

Support community outreach and awareness campaigns

About the Trek

17-day itinerary (Kathmandu to Everest Base Camp and back)

Over 130km of high-altitude trekking

Reaching peaks of up to 5,545m (including a sunset hike to Kalapatthar!)

Fully self-funded — all personal costs are covered by me
