Help me recover from a serious burn injury

Hello, my name is Kendra, as many of you already know. On Christmas Eve this past year (2022) I suffered a very serious and completely bizarre and random accident at home that resulted in me sustaining 3rd degree burns to my legs. I was hospitalized at the Burn and Wound unit at UNC hospital in Chapel Hill, NC from the night of the accident until the end of January 2023. My injuries required multiple surgeries including excision and debridement of the wound, and multiple skin grafts. The recovery time has been long and arduous, as this type of injury requires possibly over a year to fully recover. While I have been dealing with this, my life has been on hold. I was unable to work at all until April 2023, at which time I was allowed to get a “low-stress, part-time job,” which I did. I continue to work there at least until I find a full-time position in my field, and I may even stay on after I find a full-time position to help pay medical bills down. I was finally released for full time work when I completed physical therapy in late June. I have been applying for jobs, but several setbacks with my health and the limitations I’ve had due to medications I take, I have struggled to find full-time work these past four months. I was able to keep myself afloat, but went through my savings and got into some debt. I am asking for money to help me continue to pay my bills, take care of my 3 dogs, and to help with the large medical expenses which I’ve been unable to pay more than $50/month towards. Any financial help would be lifesaving and greatly appreciated. I also welcome visitors, invitations out (so I can get out of the house more!), calls/letters of encouragement, and help with some things I’m unable to do around the house (primarily yard work). **UPDATE**

At this point, I’ve been able to find part-time work in my field, which has helped. However, the medications I’ve had to take have wreaked havoc on my teeth. I now require another surgery to fix them, so that I can eat properly. This surgery will cost over $50,000 USD, and insurance will not cover it. If anyone finds it in their heart to donate, it would be greatly appreciated! 

I am able to pay the basic bills, but to do so have needed to rent out my guest bedroom. 

I also have had car trouble, and am in need of approximately $4000 to fix my car so that I can get to work. I recently bought the car, drove it less than 500 miles and now it needs a full engine replacement. 

So, that is where I’m at in the recovery process. Physically, the burns look better. The chronic pain, medications, and cost of insurance are now the issue, but I’m doing my best! Thank you!
