Help me repair or replace my car so I can still get by

So my car died earlier today, and the prognosis is not good. Repairs are looking to be upwards of $4,000, probably significantly so, which is money I just don't have. It's looking like now that the move might be to just buy a replacement used car, which is what the funds raised her will likely go to.

I absolutely need a car to get to work, grocery shop and run other errands. I live with my disabled dad as his caretaker, and without a care it makes it significantly harder for me to do that for him. I've never done one of these before, I'm not usually the kind of person that likes to ask others to give so much, but I'm in a very bad place right now I need help. Any little bit helps. Thank you.
