Help me represent Team GB Uni’s at EUSA and fight in Austria

May I take this opportunity in introducing myself. My name is Tahlia Blake I am 18 years old and I am an athlete on the England Karate Team looking to pursue my career in Karate and hopefully get selected for the European Championships again and the World Championships.

I have been studying Karate from the young age of six years old. I have won numerous titles, including double Gold at the British and English Championships, I have won Gold at the Commonwealth Club championships, came 9th in the European Championships representing England and most recently won double Gold at the British University Championships, which has allowed me to be selected to represent Team GB at EUSA (European University School Association) held in Poland this August.

I have had the opportunity to travel internationally to countries such as Croatia, Spain, Germany, Czech Republic, Belgium and Poland but since I am an elite athlete training at University on the High Performance Programme, I don’t have the opportunity to work as this is a full-time job in itself as well and committing fully to university.

I am a fully dedicated athlete and student and train 5 days a week, sometimes up to twice a day.

I am looking to go and fight on the international stages a lot more but I need your help as this is a non-funded sport.

These competitions include:

22-25th August - EUSA Poland

5-7th September - Series A Austria

3-5th October - Series A Malaysia

4-7th December - Youth League Venice

I need support from you to help me financially, I am looking to get approximately £3000 to help me with kit, accommodation, entry fees and travel expenses for the year. Each competition abroad can be up to the cost of £1000 each, I need to attend around four per year to get points to be on the World ranking platform allowing me to get reselected for the European and World Championships.
