Help me restart Christine’s life after her loss

On Saturday, January 6th, while I was playing the last flight of the Gargantuan tournament at Choctaw Casino, my sister Christine messaged me. Her boyfriend Brandon, was being rushed to second hospital in Pittsburgh, with what looked like the beginnings of massive organ failure. He has had serious health complications in the recent couple of years, but he had been doing seemingly better. Things collapsed quickly and by 11am Sunday morning, he was gone. Christine and “B” have been together for almost 10 years - he was only 30 years old. With Hayden’s help, I raced straight from the casino to the airport, and I have spent the last few days with her in Pittsburg, helping her through this horrible time. She is in a ton of pain and her life is upside down, as expected, but she is very strong and doing really well, all things considered. After a memorial service in Saint Louis, she will be coming to stay with me and Hayden and Emmy. We will give her love and space to think about her future, and we are hoping she will plan to stay with us for the foreseeable future. Should she choose to come here, my family will be needing some help from the community here in the DFW area. We will need to use a lot of our resources and connections to help her start a life here. Thank you in advance for your kindness and support. It will be needed and we will be ever so grateful. A wedding, a birth, and a death in one weeks time. Life is incredibly short and unpredictable. Love, and love so hard. Be grateful for every day. Be kind. Be so kind to everyone - I’m crying suddenly in the airport, on the plane and in random restaurants. Just be kind.
