Help Me Reunite with My War-Displaced Mother
Donation protected
My name is Mohamed, and I'm reaching out with the deepest hope that you can help me bring my beloved mother to safety after surviving the unimaginable. She devoted her life to saving lives as a doctor, now is the time to save her's.
Two years ago, our lives were turned upside down when a tragic war erupted in my mother's home country Sudan. My father—her husband of over 45 years—was killed in the violence. She lost not only her life partner but also her home, her community, and everything she had ever known. Like millions of others, she was forced to flee for her life, leaving behind the ruins of her past.
From my home in Canada, I did everything in my power to help. Through tireless coordination and borrowed resources, I managed to get her out of the country and into a neighboring nation where she has been living temporarily under fragile conditions. Over the past 24 months, I have supported her emotionally and financially, covering her rent, food, and medical needs despite struggling to make ends meet myself.
I have applied multiple times for family reunification to bring her to Canada, where I can care for her, love her, and give her the peace she deserves. But every application has been rejected due to financial requirements I simply cannot meet alone.
Her temporary visa is about to expire. Once that happens, she faces deportation back into a region still torn apart by violence. I am terrified of losing her after everything she has endured.
This is why I am urgently seeking your help. I need to raise $9,900 immediately to cover the immigration, legal, and settlement expenses required to finally reunite with my mother in Canada. Every dollar will go toward bringing her to safety, helping with visa fees, airfare, and the financial proof I need to satisfy immigration authorities.
This is not just about paperwork or logistics, this is about reuniting a mother and son, about giving a woman who has lost everything a chance to rebuild in peace, love, and dignity.
Please, if you can, donate whatever you’re able to. And if you can’t donate, sharing this story could make all the difference. Your compassion could be the reason my mother lives out the rest of her life in safety, surrounded by love.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
