Help me run the 2024 Tokyo Marathon!

2023 was a difficult year for me. I lost my job in June, and then had two other big financial shocks follow soon after. In spite of this, I went ahead and entered the lottery for the 2024 Tokyo Marathon. It is considered to be the hardest of the major races to get into via lottery, so I thought I might as well start getting those rejections out of the way now. I mean, no one gets in first try.

Except somehow I did.

My luck else where has not improved though; the tech sector was hit with a massive wave of layoffs last year, and finding any source or employment has remained illusive. There's no option to differ my slot until next years race either; I run in 2024 or go back into the lottery with no guarantee my name will get pulled a second time.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for me, but I need help from others to make it happen.

Donations made will help me cover the cost of airfare and lodging during my stay. I am planing on staying a week and a half or so, and estimate the total cost to be around $3,000. No one is expected to help, but anything people can give would be much appreciated.
